Since opening 4 years ago, The Tare Shop has diverted over 35,500 plastic laundry containers from entering the waste stream by providing package-free and refillable options so you can do your laundry guilt-free!
Down East Laundry Detergent, made locally in Burnside. A 2X liquid concentrate that requires only 45 ml per HE load. Versatile and can be used in top or front loading washing machines. Gentle on all fabrics leaving clothes feeling fresh and clean.
Each unit is 1 L and packed in a glass jar. There is a $1.50 deposit for the glass jar that you can get back if you return the jar, and a non-refundable $0.25 handling fee.

Orders over $60 are shipped for free within Canada!
Shipping costs for all other orders will be calculated at checkout.
Returns
Our policy lasts 15 days. If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and you must have a receipt.
