Sushi Rice - Organic
Description
(1 cup of Sushi Rice is approximately 185g)
Organic medium-grain Sushi Rice is very small and almost round. It also contains a high percentage of starch when compared to other varieties, which is why the grains are so sticky.
Perfect sushi rice: rinse 1 cup of rice very well. For the best texture, soak in water for 30 minutes. In a medium pot mix rice with 1½ cups water and bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and cook 20 min, until water is absorbed. Let cool.
In a small saucepan, gently heat ¼ cup rice vinegar, 1½ tsp sunflower oil, 2 Tbps sugar, ½ tsp salt until dissolved. Pour over rice and gently mix.
