Nothing says fall like an abundance of pumpkin spice flavoured treats. Whether you love baking or just want to perfect your own Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe, take some of the hassle out of your process and pick up a jar.
Not sure what to do with the Pumpkin Spice mix? Here are a few things we love to use it for:
1. Pumpkin Pie
Before it rose to infamy as a Starbucks coffee flavour pumpkin spice mix was used to give your pumpkin pie that extra bit of flavour. If you’ve never made one before, or if you’re looking to spice up your own recipe, a couple of tablespoons of this mix may be just what your pie needs to blow your socks off.
And it doesn’t have to stop at pie. Cookies, bread, muffins try them all out with our mix.
2. DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte
There’s a reason the PSL craze comes around every year, these drinks are delicious. Treat yourself to one whenever you want by adding a sprinkle of this mix to your DIY latte. Indulge at home and avoid the line up at your local coffee shop. You can shop coffee beans, grounds and filters on our website.
3. Popcorn Seasoning
Some people like it salty and some like it sweet. If you enjoy caramel on your popcorn you might enjoy this sweet popcorn treat. You’ll need some freshly popped popcorn, some butter/margarine, cane sugar and the pumpkin spice mix. Melt the butter/margarine in a pan with the spice, add sugar to taste, stir until it’s all dissolved into a smooth mixture and then drizzle over your popcorn. Toss to coat well.
If you’ve never made stove top popcorn before we’ve got a blog post on it! There’s also a list of other topping possibilities for the less Pumpkin inclined.
4. Roasted Nuts/Seeds
Toss your nuts or seeds in a drizzle of oil and a couple of teaspoons of our Pumpkin Spice mix before roasting them in a 400 F oven and enjoy a rich fall flavoured snack.
Cooking tip: You can line your baking sheet with foil, parchment paper or our reusable silicone baking mat.
