Chia pudding is up there with our favourite summer dishes. Versatile enough to eat for breakfast, as a snack or for some after-dinner sweetness, it’s tasty, healthy and super simple to whip up.
To make two servings, simply:
Whisk together chia seeds, one cup of milk of your choice, sweetener of your choice, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours until thick.
Finally, serve with toppings of your choice! We love dried fruit and nuts.
If you have milk in your fridge, we've got the rest. Here’s everything you need to make Tare Shop’s summery chia pudding...
Chia Seeds
First things first - chia seeds! You'll need 1/4 of a cup - around 35g.
Maple Syrup
You only need about 2 teaspoons for this recipe, but you can never have too much maple syrup in storage, right?
We sell Nova Scotia's own Bentley's Maple syrup by the litre in a glass jar. Return the jar when you're done and you'll receive a $1.50 deposit, too!
Vanilla Extract
A baking essential, each unit of our pure vanilla extract is packed in a glass jar. You'll need one teaspoon for this recipe!
Pink Himalayan Salt
You only need a pinch of salt for this recipe, but the Pink Himalayan kind is the best. Naturally harvested from the Himalayan mountains, it's 100% preservative free.
Dried fruit or nuts
Finish up by scattering some tasty dried fruit over the top. We love papaya, coconut, banana chips or dried apricots.
You can always add some nuts to the mix, too - walnuts, sliced almonds or even a dollop of peanut butter are a delicious way to complete your chia pudding recipe!
